New Beard Guy I am new to the "big" beard game. I needed something to calm it down a bit. The Heavy Beard Oil is doing the trick. I use it every morning and am starting to get the hang of beard grooming. I am sure that I will be purchasing more products as I move through this journey.
Texas Beard Knows Their Customers Big Thicket is my go to scent so you know I like that, but the Heavy Beard Oil is pure genius! It is perfect for my beard so it turns a two step process into one. Less fuss for us no fuss guys.
Thick and Heavy, like I like my woman. As my beard gets longer, I find that I prefer a heavier oil that will hydrate and maintain moisture throughout the day. Simple jojoba and Argan oil are nice, but the bigger the beard, the greater the need for long term hydration. This has been perfect. My beard stays hydrated and not frizzy or poofy. I’d only ever use this for the rest of my beard life if I could.
Wife approved product. This is the third time I buy this particular product and will keep buying it. Makes my beard feel soft and moisturized. Don't need to use a lot, just a drop will go a long way. Wife approved product.
I am liking it so far. I have to store it with the lid up because the oil starts to separate and comes out of the tube oil only.. I like the smell but the wife doesn't like it as much as i do. So on the next order i might try a different scent. I have super curly and wild hair and this is the first time i have grown a beard out because i was in the Air Force for 22 years and wasn't able to. So.... I am trying to figure out how to take this beast.

A dab will do you I’ve only had this for a few weeks, but I do like it. I was kind of hoping it would check the box of both a balm and oil. It definitely has the oil thing going for it, but the hold isn’t quite that of a balm. Either way, it does still provide some hold, just not as much as balm. They weren’t kidding either. This stuff doesn’t take much. Just a little goes a long way.
Good. I rated 3 stars previously, but I have begun using the heavy oil as a balm pretty much for control. Control is excellent. I just wish the scent was closer to the big thicket oil and balm.
Heavy beard oil I’ve used Texas beard company products for years. I love the oil and the balm. I recently tried the heavy beard oil for the first time. I do really like the product, but I wish I would have gotten a different scent. I love the pecan coffee beard balm but when I bought the heavy beard oil I got the big thicket scent and it’s not my favorite. But I do love the heavy oil, next time will try a different scent.
Nice product, but be careful This stuff goes a long way. I have a long beard and thought I'd need about as much of the heavy oil as the regular oil. Big mistake. I use about a dime size amount of the regular oil and less than half that amount for the heavy oil. So be careful, it's easy to overuse.
Big Thicket heavy oil It was a little disappointing. I was expecting a more woodsy smell. This had an overpowering odor that did not match what I remember ordering before. It wasn’t the heavy oil aspect as I also ordered the standard oil and it had the same smell.
HEAVY BEARD OIL It's okay. But for the 20$ that you spend on it do not expect it to last too long. While the size of the bottle you are purchasing is stated, the size really is too small to make it a regular in your arsenal for the daily upkeep of your beard. Plus when I received the bottle it was gooey as if it had leaked out a little during shipment. Disappointing...
I will stick with the beard balm products you have to offer.
Heavy beard oil The heavy beard oil itself is great. The product is awesome. However the bottle it cokes in is not. You can not tell how much is left and the style of the bottle keeps you from being able to use all of the product that comes inside. A new container for this product would make it the best thing on the market.
It's heavy alright. this is thick stuff. I tried it a couple times. I like the thickness, and maybe my hands were cold, but it did not seem to "melt" like the balm does(typically use oil and balm). I didn't like that it doesn't seem to get all the way the the skin. I always thought "oil for skin, balm for control". The control is there, definitely, but I don't want my skin to dry out. Also the scent(big thicket) is not true to the scent uniformity between the oil and balm. I will try it again no that I have cut some length off. As always, ordering and shipping is fast and easy.,
Good Product, Poot packaging Let me start out by saying that I love Texas Beard Co and will continue to buy their products. I have a medium-sized beard. It’s outgrown the effectiveness of oil, and usually requires the balm. I honesty prefer to use a bit of oil followed by balm. Therefore, I figured the Heavy Beard Oil would be perfect. The product itself is not bad. I do like the consistency and think it works well for my beard. It’s the packaging that I don’t like. It is very easy to squeeze out too much. I found myself wasting some of my valuable product. Once I used the oil for a few weeks, the opposite happened: it was too difficult to squeeze out just enough. Whereas the oil and balms last me a while, I feel that I went through the Heavy Beard Oil a lot sooner. I do not recommend the product as it is currently sold. I will go back to the oil and balm.
Tweak it... The actual product is great. I think you nailed that. Being thicker than the oil is much better. However--it's hard to get out of the tube. You can squeeze it, but nothing come out unless the product is all the way at the bottom. Also--I went through a tube in a couple weeks. That price is WAAAAY too high for a product that only lasts that long. Fix those things and I will buy more. Or don't...and I won't.
