Big Thicket Balm My favorite scent in a product that really helps you shape the mane. I use this in place of the oil when I am going out with the lady and wish to shape/hold the beard a little better. Like the oil, I would give it 5-stars if the scent was just a little more potent and lasted a little longer (definitely a personal preference).

Good product This balm is all you really need for a soft healthy beard. Just after using it the first time, my beard became alot softer. I used to use beard oil before but once you have a longer beard, beard oil jus doesn't cut it. The scent is really nice too. Only complaint is that the balm came kind of grainy, and even after microwaving and refrigerating it it didn't help.

good product ordered big thicket balm and have had for a couple of months now, still have about half of the can. would have liked a bit of a stronger smell. but over all i like the product.

Great Product I have just recently started taking proper care of my beard and trying various products to find ones that I like. My experiments with beard balms got frustrating pretty quick as they all seemed to be super hard and sticky seeming to do more harm than good. So I stumbled upon this site and was immediately intrigued by the description of the balm they had to offer, describing it as whipped and requiring more time/ labor to produce a better quality product. Well guess what? It's true! I love the feel of the balm and the scent (Big Thicket) is awesome, if that's what the Texas forest smells like I will visit soon! The turnaround time was super fast and the customer service was awesome. Even gor a hand written thank you note. Packaging/labeling is very nice as well. I will be ordering again as soon as possible! In My Day We Just Used Bear Grease This stuff is pretty good, doesn't smell rancid and I didn't have to pick bugs out of it. Actually, I find the Big Thicket Beard Balm to be everything advertised. Great scent and softens the beard. I am a seasonal beard guy, fall to early spring, have been for years. So am just growing my winter pelt in now. The beard balm has really helped with the itching associated with the first month of growth. Highly recommend this product. Would have given it 5 stars but I didn't want you guys to get big heads. Now I wonder if the Big Thicket scent will mean I don't have to rub doe urine on my beard this year? That'll make my wife happy.
My Go To Scent This has been my go to scent since the first time I discovered Texas Beard Company. The first and second time I ordered products of this scent, they were outstanding. The scent truly does bring you back to a Texas Pine forest! I do have to agree with one of the other reviewers though...the last product I received of this scent did smell different than the previous orders. It smelled more like pencil shavings than the fresh pine scent from before. Not sure if it was a different batch of oils used or a different ratio, but it was noticeably different. I've ordered another container of balm, hoping it smells like the previous batches.
Outstanding beard balm What can I say, it is an outstanding beard balm. It melts easily, applies easily, smells great and has a moderate hold along with a great conditioning. I started out using it everyday, now I am at twice a week. It is a great product froma great company that is USA all the way.
The way to go!!! I really enjoy the Big Thicket Bear Balm, It works great for taming the unruly beard. I personally don't like the oily feeling after you use beard oils, but there is none of that with the balm!

Unlike oil, which conditions but could leave your hair a little unruly, even with brushing, the balm will help to keep your beard or mustache manageable.
The scent, Big Thicket, is one of my favorites and is warm and subtle.
The only issue I have with this product, and the only reason I'll rate it 4 instead of 5 stars (I wish i could give a half-star) is that it is a little too thick. If there were an option like a beard butter, something more creamy than the balm, I think that would be ideal. That being said, I still like this balm a lot.
Thicket Texas beard co. Is the only company I will ever use. Love the big thicket sent. This balm works pretty good I just wish it had the bees wax in it for the extra hold.
very manly smell So I really like the product itself, the balm works very good. However, I find that I don't like the scent. I got the big thicket balm which is suppose to smell like cedar and pine needles. Which I would agree that it does, but the combination for some reason comes across like turpentine to most people. You don't notice the smell yourself after awhile but while you do its an odd experience. Manly men would love this smell though! I'm not in anyway knocking the smell of the product, it just isn't for me. I'll definitely have to try the mint or unscented variety.
Smells good, could be stronger. I thought it would be more like a leave in conditioner but it's more like a styling product. Easy to apply.
What i got to use First let me say i enjoy the product, but sadly i didnt get much of it. I ordered it this summer and when i received it it was melted and half of it had leaked out into the packaging. The product seems to be awesome on my beard and far better than most of the other balms i have tried. Just wish i would've got the entire can i paid for. I wrote them and they said they would send me a new can but that was over a month ago and still no product. Hopefully if I order more this winter I'll get a full product.
Big Thicket balm I have ordered this exact item in the past, and it smelled more like the woods and pine needles then. I really liked it! The one I just received in the mail smells a lot less like that and more like pencil shavings. Also, the balm consistency is not the same, and does not manage my beard as well. Something must have happened with this batch... Not entirely satisfied with it, that's for sure.
